It's never too late to crush your summer body goals before you hit Miami's beaches. Stick to a clean diet
Clean eating can help you shed unwanted fat and pack on lean muscle. Protein-rich meals like chicken, eye of round steak, salmon, and tilapia are great options to incorporate into your diet. Also, look for ways to add whole-grain bread, bananas, brown rice, pineapple, broccoli, oranges, strawberries, spinach, and watermelon to your everyday meals. Have healthy and filling meals before noon
If you're trying to slim down, you should get the bulk of your daily caloric intake done by 3 p.m. Consuming most of your calories earlier in the day helps you lose more weight than if you consumed those calories later in the day. So, avoid heavy meals at dinnertime and try to have a filling lunch early in the afternoon.
Stretch before and after every workout
Stretching may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about ways to achieve your summer body goals. However, it's important to remember that our muscles lose their flexibility naturally with aging. Exercises that involve repetitive action can speed up this process. You should follow a regular stretching routine that focuses on the most frequently used muscles, particularly in the legs and glutes when working on your summer body.
Drinks lots of tea
Instead of drinking carbonated beverages, which could make you feel bloated, try making a cup of tea. To calm a queasy stomach, try this: simmer a bit of dried dandelion leaf in a cup of hot water, filter, and drink after the water cools down, or grate some ginger root into hot water and mix in a dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Make sure you drink plenty of water
When you're trying to stay hydrated, it's better to avoid sweetened drinks like soda and many of those "sports" drinks since they're mostly sugar. Water makes up around 75% of your body, so drinking plenty of it will help you feel more energized, reduce joint pain, shed pounds, and keep your muscles looking toned and in shape. Aim for six to eight 8-ounce cups of purified water per day.
Document your efforts with photographs
Everyone hates seeing photos of themselves when they don't look their best, but these photos can often motivate us to do better. Once you have settled on a diet and exercise routine, document your progress with before and after pictures after 1 week, 4 weeks, a month, etc.
By keeping track of your fitness levels, you can monitor your improvements over time, which will encourage you to stay focused. You don't have to show off your bikini summer body for a comparison photo. Assess your comfort, and remember that this is only to make you feel better and motivated.
