First observed and celebrated in Texas, it’s now a nationally observed holiday and was first recognized as a day off and signed into law in Florida on June 17, 2021. It’s a significant reminder of resilience, freedom, and power, and here are some incredible ways to celebrate and observe Juneteenth 2022 in Miami:

Known as their Freedom Day Celebrations, the event’s theme this year is Celebrate, Educate, Heal. They’re honoring the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom while educating those who reap the benefits of these inequities even today.
