Little Havana is welcoming Miami’s hottest new barbershop to its community: Homerun Barbershop. If you don’t know, Little Havana is a neighbourhood thriving with Cuban culture and the ambience is everything Latin families look for when they come to Miami. Even Latin families living in the area love visiting Little Havana to get their fix of the culture.
Homerun Barbershop, having opened just a month ago, is contributing even more to the Latin culture in Miami, specifically in Little Havana. Owner Claribel Sanchez is a Cuban herself, and she loves Little Havana because it has a lot of Cuban restaurants and places to go to. This is exactly why she decided to start her business in the center of Little Havana.
Sanchez also lucked out with the opportunity she got with the location of her store, which is right across from the Miami Marlins stadium—a spot perfect for a sports-themed barbershop. The shop’s address is 1735 NW 7th Street. According to Sanchez, you can’t miss their artsy corner building with the exterior ballpark mural painted by Wynwood artist J.O. Artwork. Their eye-catching building adds color and art to an already vibrant area.
Being in Little Havana also gives Sanchez and her business the opportunity to be more involved in the community, which is something she aims to do.
“We just opened a month ago and I definitely would like to be more involved,” said Sanchez herself. Part of that community involvement begins with Sanchez emphasizing baseball in her theme.
Baseball fans should feel extremely welcome at Homerun Barbershop, with one of their barber’s being a fan himself. Sanchez’s boyfriend is also a baseball fan, both of which inspired her to associate her business with the Miami Marlins. The shop’s logo and colors are the same as that of the Marlins.
When you step inside Homerun Barbershop, you will see a unique concept created by Sanchez. The shop is designed with a creative and trendy Miami Marlins ballpark theme, based off of Sanchez’s desire to create an out-of-this-park baseball experience for all of their customers.
Included in the interior are TVs, which Sanchez said she included to give patrons a sports bar feeling when they walk inside. The environment is not only comfortable and friendly but is also spacious and aims to make customers feel like they are at the ball field.
So, go to Homerun Barbershop for your next haircut if you’re looking for an ambience mixed with Cuban culture and baseball fanatics. Sanchez wants you to know that Homerun Barbershop specializes in more than just fresh cuts. They offer a large selection of services, some of which include fades, hot towel shaves, black masks, and color enhancements.
At Homerun Barbershop it’s not just a haircut, it’s an experience!
