Adriana Catano on the importance of cruelty-free, toxin-free skincare

Adriana Catano wants women to make responsible choices with their skincare routines

An entrepreneur, journalist, and award-winning actress, Adriana Catano is a powerhouse of a woman. We were lucky enough to chat with her about her business ventures and what drives her to make a difference in people’s lives. Here’s how a Latina celebrity went from doing face masks at home to creating one of the first vegan, cruelty-free skincare lines in the country.

Adriana Catano on creating a cruelty-free skincare line

Adriana Catano, who began her career on television at a young age, has always paid close attention to her skin's health. Using fruits, honey, and other all-natural substances, she made masks and skin treatments at home, which worked wonderfully for her skin. She began investigating skin care products after she was often asked about her secret to ageless, spotless skin.

To her dismay, she discovered that even the more expensive brands often used toxic ingredients in their formulae. Despite their intricate formulations, none of them gave Adriana the desired results. None of the luxury or drugstore products she tried came close to the results she was getting from her own organic, homemade masks and treatments.

She realized that if she struggled to find products for her skin concerns, there must be so many others like her. So, she decided to investigate and create a solution on her own.

She did her homework, traveled all over the country, and finally found a lab in Los Angeles that she loved. In 2018, she launched her brand, Catano Beauty—one of Florida's first vegan skincare lines. She wanted to take a stand against animal cruelty, which is unfortunately still common in the skincare industry, and establish a skincare line that spoke to individuals like her. There is no reason to harm animals to make a good skincare or cosmetic product, and that's what Adriana Catano proves through her brand.

What was once a small business with only five offerings is now a thriving corporation with eleven items on the market. Adriana wanted to give women products that are healthy and actually work, and don’t harm any animals in the process. She has broken new ground by being the first Latina celebrity to launch a skincare brand.

What she does when she’s not handling a vegan skincare company

Adriana was a professional actor for many years before she made her mark in the beauty world. She has roles in blockbuster films and telenovelas and continues to work on major projects. As a talented actress, she quickly became a mainstay on Telemundo's "La Mujer de mi Vida". Adriana Catano's career as a TV actress has matured into a fun pastime she looks forward to every day.

Adriana Catano is also a journalist and has her own quarterly publication called Somos La Revista. She was lucky enough to have a business that did well throughout the pandemic when many others closed their doors, and their customers stayed at home. The journal publishes four issues each year, each sold in major bookshops in Bal Harbor, Coral Gables, and the surrounding areas.

Those who are making a difference in their communities, as well as local celebrities and business owners, are highlighted in this issue of a lifestyle magazine. In addition to highlighting inspirational Floridian heroes and celebrities, this magazine highlights the contributions of people with disabilities, both young and old, to the state's vibrant communities.

In the next five years, Adriana hopes her business will expand internationally. Her goal is to become the go-to vegan, cruelty-free skincare brand in the United States. The fact that 85% of her clients are repeat buyers shows how much people already adore her products.

She dreams of the day when her products can improve the lives of people all around the world by restoring their skin's health. Catano Beauty is all set to become a high-end, reasonably priced, cruelty-free skincare brand. For now, customers can enjoy exclusive holiday deals and bundles. Starting on December 10th, customers can save 15% at checkout with the code XMas, and save $15 on bundles without even entering a coupon.
