Chairman Gilbert hosted the Chairman’s Health Walk to further his XerciseDaily initiative
Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert, III is all set to host the inaugural Chairman’s Health Walk. The walk took place at 09:00 am on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Stephen P. Clark Government Center. This initiative was cosponsored by Commissioner Marleine Bastien and the walk furthered the XerciseDaily program initiated by the chairman.

From Government Center to Bayfront Park
The Chairman’s Health Walk started from the Stephen P. Clark Government Center at 111 NW 1st St., Miami, FL 33128, and continued to Bayfront Park, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33132.
This Health Walk further advanced Chairman Gilbert’s XerciseDaily initiative, which he launched this year in January. The program encourages everyone to reserve 30 minutes of their day to make healthy decisions.
The representatives of the Board of County Commissioners and many others followed Chairman Gilbert on a walk from Stephen Government Center to Bayfront Park. The Chairman’s walk commence from the 1st-floor lobby and continue eastbound to NE 1st St.
This brisk walk also included a brief stop for an exercise session. Tony Thomas Sports lead this exercise engagement at East Flagler St. and NE 2nd Ave. The Chairman’s Health Walk continued to Biscayne Boulevard where an inaugural photo was taken at the park before concluding the walk back to the government center.

The participants of the walk included nine offices of the Board of County Commissioners, Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces (PROS), Miami-Dade Police Department Bike Response Team, Employee Support Services-Health & Wellness, Division of Emergency Management (DEM) and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue (MDFR) will sponsor the event.
