The suspect responsible for the Little Havana shooting fled before police arrived at the scene
On Monday morning, two men were shot and wounded in a restaurant in Miami's Little Havana district, and authorities are still investigating the incident. Shots were fired around 9 a.m. in the 200 block of Northwest 8th Avenue, according to Miami police. The Little Havana shooting took two victims. One of them was sent to the hospital while the shooter escaped before police arrived.

About the victims
Just before 9 a.m., shots were reportedly fired at La Portena, a popular restaurant in Little Havana. One of the victims, identified as Gregory Avile, said he was picking up food at the restaurant when an assailant went in, got into an argument with a patron, and opened fire.
While Avile escaped with a small cut to his foot, another man was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital with similar injuries to both feet. His name and current health status are not disclosed yet. According to the eyewitness, the shooter left the scene shortly after firing.

While next-door neighbor Albert Borjas didn't hear the gunfire, he's not shocked it occurred. Borjas reported that incidents like these are common in the neighborhood. People break bottles, drunken people roam the streets aimlessly, and bar brawls turn into knife fights.
