Carnaval Miami 2022 kicked off on February 25th with the Miss Canaval Miami 2022 Pageant, and continues till the 13th of March, hosting a wide range of events and activities for attendees. While the Miss Carnaval Miami pageant and crowning the king may be over, there’s more left.

The Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 pageant was held at the Manuel Artime Theater in Little Havana on February 25th where the young ladies competed in their swimsuits and evening gowns. This years winner was Alexandra Perez who will now be going off to compete at the Miss Florida USA and the Miss Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal Pageant representing Miss Carnaval Miami. Alexandra Perez will serve as the ambassador for the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation and their sponsors as well as the community. Here are some words on behalf of the new Queen Alexandra Perez.
I am 17 years old attending the AAA Program at FIU with the hope of becoming a travel nurse in the future. I was born and raised in Miami with Cuban heritage. I have been modeling since I was 8 years old and I am currently in two salsa dance teams. I am extremely honored to have been chosen as Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 and I am excited for this upcoming year and my future with the Kiwanis of Little Havana.
Alexandra Perez, Miss Carnaval Miami 2022
On the 5th and 6th of March, 2022, Carnaval On The Mile took place. It is one of the most beloved community events and remains one of the most popular offerings of Carnaval Miami 2022. It featured talented musicians, live performers, artists, creators, and other creatives from the community, it’s also had entertainment for children. The event was free and happened in Coral Gables this past weekend. Don’t feel bad if you missed it, there is more to come!
Domino Tournament
Ready to enjoy a little tradition? The Carnaval Miami 2022 tournament celebrates Little Havana’s very own special tradition in the most incredible way. Through fun, friendliness, and immense talent, the tournament brings together players from around the world to participate and join in as they compete in this exciting game. You can join in any time from March 7-13, 2022, at the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana.
Fight for trophies and prizes at this thrilling, family-friendly event of Soccer 5v5, which brings in over 4000 participants split into 100 teams. Since it’s happening in April, you have plenty of time to start training and gearing up to have fun, compete, and get moving together.
Golf Classic
As part of the Carnaval Miami 2022 festivities the members of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana are “Putting for Education” at the Golf Classic hosted by Amerant on March 10, 2022. Every year leaders from the community and executives come together to make 4-year college scholarships available to undergraduate students that would otherwise never see such an opportunity come by. This tradition began in 1982 and max’s out at 144 players.
Calle Ocho Music Festival VIP Passport
Calle Ocho Music Festival is the grand finale, which takes place on March 13, 2022, features 20 blocks of music, dance, and entertainment. It’s one of the largest Latin music festivals globally and across the nation, making it an absolute must to attend. In addition to music, they have international food sampling, cultural events, and activities throughout the day and have even helped launch some of the biggest Hispanic artists in the world, including Pitbull, Nicky Jam, and Maluma.
