40th Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 Pageant Applications Now Open

The Kiwanis Club is back with their Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 Pageant, and applicants can now sign up.

The Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 Pageant is taking place on the 25th of February, 2022, by the Kiwanis Club Little Havana. They are now accepting applications from women between 17 and 26.

The annual event is going to be held from 7 - 9 pm at Miami’s Manuel Artime Theater. It gives young women a chance to compete for some of the most incredible prizes, including college scholarships, ambassadorship, and access to airtime and news coverage.

It’s a great opportunity to bring forward the incredible talent that these young contestants have, encouraging a spirit of healthy competition, fun, and a chance to better their lives too!

What’s special about the Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 Pageant

Unlike other pageants that are often associated with incredibly backward, toxic, and misogynistic practices and standards of beauty, the Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 Pageant focuses on so much more.

Young women get a chance to showcase their leadership skills, hobbies and passions, poise, beauty in its varied forms, and other skills in order to qualify and compete, sharing with the world their best versions. It’s a varied and holistic approach to pageants, and though held as a beloved annual tradition, has continued to evolve and change with the times.

The winners aren’t just given prizes and titles but actual scholastic and academic opportunities, including scholarships, grants, and training. The winner will also have the honor of representing South Florida at the much-awaited Miss Florida USA pageant while also becoming a goodwill ambassador for the Kiwanis Club.

Miss Carnaval Miami 2022 will represent the organization at multiple events and public and community gatherings during their tenure, including on TV and radio.

The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana is a local offshoot of the organization, which is the first-ever Latin Club founded in the US in 1975. They continue to host and organize community events, fundraisers and give back to the community in the form of scholarships, camps, and much more.

Just the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana has managed some astounding numbers during its time, giving away over 12,000 bikes during the holidays, 20,000 kids helped with educational and healthcare needs, 1000 public university and college scholarships handed, and so much more. They continue to be a pillar of the community, and we’re proud to see the way they serve and help the Little Havana community thrive through their efforts.
