Thousands of leading organizations from all over the world will attend the LGBTQ conference at the Disney World Resort
This September, The Walt Disney Corporation will host a large conference at its World Resort in Florida to advocate for LGBTQ rights at work. Executives and experts from the greatest corporations in the world will unite in a show of defiance against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' attempt to ban diversity education and training.

About the LGBTQ conference
The event's organizer, Out & Equal, lists Disney among the most prominent supporters on their website, and the two groups have worked together for a long time. Out & Equal is an organization that fights for the legal equality of gay, lesbian, and transgender people in the workplace. The resort will host the 2023 workplace LGBTQ conference from September 11 to 14.
The Out & Equal website claims there will be over 5,000 attendees at the summit discussing equality in the workplace. Government organizations such as the Department of State, the CIA, and the FDA are also going to show their support as sponsors. They will be setting up booths at the venue.
What happened between DeSantis and Disney?
Disney's public stance opposing House 1557, sometimes known as the "Don't Say Gay" bill in Florida, started the feud between the company and DeSantis in March 2022. DeSantis reacted by trying to limit Disney's influence in the Reedy Creek Improvement District. This month, DeSantis assumed complete authority over an oversight committee after abandoning an earlier plan to revoke the company's special tax status.
