UN states that underage sex can be consensual

This just one part of the UN’s aim to give minors more authority over their sexuality and sexual activity attempting to normalize underage sex

The United Nations is trying to ensure that young kids are able to exercise choice and control over their sexuality and sexual behavior. Despite public outrage, they argue in a report that consensual relationships may be formed between minors so they are attempting to normalize underage sex.

About the report

According to a startling paper published by worldwide legal experts and backed by the United Nations, minors can give their consent to sexual activity. It should be noted that the report, "The 8 March Principles for a Human Rights-Based Approach to Criminal Law Proscribing Conduct Associated with Sex, Reproduction, Drug Use, HIV, Homelessness and Poverty", doesn't explicitly advocate for the decriminalization of sexual relations between adults and minors. It does, however, make clear that minors have the mental and legal maturity to make their own sexuality-related choices.

The report by the UN didn't recommend a sexually permissible age, either. According to the commission's website, it was published in honor of International Women's Day on March 8. This date is significant since it suggests a link connecting women's rights and the age of consent.

How experts and critics are responding underage sex news

Experts are concerned that by pushing a woke mindset that has been on the margins of society for a long time, the United Nations is attempting to normalize underage sex.

The report also includes sections that call for the widespread de-stigmatization of sexual activity. In a statement, Ian Seiderman, the ICJ's head of legal and policy affairs, said that criminalizing sexual activity not only violates basic human rights but also the very foundations of criminal law.

What’s your opinion on this report? Is it a responsible move toward giving young kids sexual empowerment or a dangerous step towards their sexual exploitation?
