Spring break camp is open!

Miami-Dade County Park’s Spring break camp is accepting registrations as of March 1st

Spring break is fast approaching, and what better than to spend it with the Miami-Dade County Park’s camp! This is the perfect opportunity to make sure that children get a break from screen time and learn new things while being in the great outdoors. Kids that participate will take part in engaging activities and go on adventures at multiple green spaces.

The camp will begin on March 29th and will end on April 2nd. Camp days will go from 9 am until 5 pm. It is important to know that the camp is committed to keeping all participants and staff safe. Thus, COVID-19 protocols will be enforced daily. Everyone will have to wear masks, keep social distance, and be subject to screening every day.

There are many options that Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces will offer this break for campers to choose from:

Fit2Play and Fit2Lead

These programs are designed to help children develop healthy habits and experience the fun that fitness can offer. The Fit2Play camp is for children ages 6 to 11, while the Fit2Lead camp is for children ages 12 to 14.

Miami EcoAdventure

This program was created for those with a passion for science and the environment. Children that take part in this camp will perform science experiments, go on environmental field trips, and have plenty of athletic activities outdoors.

Splash into Spring at the Deering Estate

This camp offers children the opportunity to become marine biologists. They will get to explore the coastal and aquatic habitats of the Deering Estate. There, the kids will learn how to protect the environment, catch critters, and fish.

Junior Golf

This camp will allow children to bring out their inner golfers. The junior players will learn the fundamentals of golf and practice to become the best that they can be!

Camps for students with disabilities

This camp option ensures that no kid will be deprived of the fun camps have to offer. Under the direction of a certified therapeutic recreation specialist, children in this camp will immerse themselves in various fun recreational activities.
