Sedano’s Supermarkets announces the opening of its 35th location in Florida with a new store in Hialeah

The new Sedano's Supermarket presents new details and characteristics, including a large hot food bar and sandwiches made to order

Sedano's Supermarkets, the leading independent Hispanic supermarket chain in the United States headquartered out of Miami, announces the grand opening of its 35th location in Florida and its 10th store in Hialeah, the city in which the retail supermarket was founded in 1962. 

With almost 100 new employees, the 35,000 sq. ft. store located at 1170 West 49th Street in Hialeah, Florida, presents Sedano’s new look and décor, and includes a large hot food bar as well as a sandwich bar.

Sedanos Grand Opening 3To commemorate the grand opening on November 6th, 2019, civic and community leaders, including the mayor of the City of Hialeah, Carlos Hernández, accompanied Sedano’s CEO, Agustín Herrán, the COO, José Herrán Jr., and the marketing manager, Javier Herrán, in a symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony. The first 200 customers to visit the new store received a reusable shopping bag with the company’s logo as well as a Sedano’s gift card ranging in value anywhere from $5 to $ 200.

"We are very excited about the opening of our 35th store, especially since it is in Hialeah, the city where it all began", pointed out Javier Herrán, marketing manager for Sedano’s Supermarkets. He then added, "Our renewed look and new services are designed to facilitate the shopping experience for our customers, and we would like to welcome the residents of Hialeah to their new and beautiful Sedano’s".

The festivities for the grand opening will continue throughout the entire month of November, and will include special promotions and events at the store, such as a Cafecito Power Hour during the day, live cooking demonstrations with Goya Foods, a brand associated with Sedano’s, and opportunities to sample foods like pastelitos, sandwiches, and other hot foods that Sedano’s offers.
