Miami Heat has been securing win after win this season
Miami Heat can use the experience they're gaining from playing in so many close games right now as a springboard for greater success later in the season. On Friday, the Heat played their 50th game of the season, at which point they found themselves six games above.500, a position they weren't sure they'd reach before February.
Here are some highlights from Miami Heat's 110-105 victory over the Orlando Magic on Friday:
How Miami Heat secured their win over Orlando Magic
On Friday night, the Heat dominated the Orlando Magic 110-105 behind 29 points from Jimmy Butler and 20 points from Adebayo. The Heat finished their homestand undefeated, with victories of 3, 4, and 5 points.
Max Strus led Miami with 17 points, 15 coming from outside the arc, as the Heat improved to 28-22 on the year with their sixth straight win. Caleb Martin poured in 13 points, Gabe Vincent added 11, and Tyler Herro scored 10 more points, leading their time to yet another win this season.
Turnovers turned out to cost Magic more than they expected
While they started the season 5-20, Orlando has won 14 of their last 24 games. Wendell Carter Jr. led the Magic with 16 points, and Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony each scored 10.
The Magic's season went downhill because of turnovers. Miami only had 11, but they turned Orlando's 20 turnovers into 32 points. However, Magic did score 13 points off of Miami's misplays.
The Heat also won by four points against New Orleans on Sunday and by three points against Boston on Tuesday.
