Jan 26th: José Martí celebration at Collins Park

On Thursday, January 26 from 10 am to 12 pm, the City of Miami Beach will host a birthday celebration for Cuban revolutionary José Martí. Over a hundred years past his death, Cuban and Latin Americans still find inspiration in Mart's poetry and thoughts on independence and liberty.

Jan 26th: Art of Black Miami Creative Conversation

Head to African Heritage Cultural Arts Center on Thursday at 6 p.m. to join the discussion on how artists' aesthetic choices reflect the global period they're in. After that, you can meet gallery director Bayunga Kialeuka for a special showing of the final exhibition "First Frequency" at the Amadlozi Gallery.

Jan 28th: Tambores II at Koubek Center

The Little Havana Social Club will be holding its next event, Tambores II, at the Koubek Center. This year marks the return of Tambores, a hugely successful event, which will take its audience on a virtual music tour throughout the Americas. Tambores is a tribute to the rich drumming culture of the Americas and the Caribbean, including performances by bands from Brazil, Colombia, Peru, the Bahamas, and Africa.

Jan 29th: 2001: A Space Odyssey at Coral Gables Art Cinema

The iconic science fiction blockbuster has been restored to 4K quality under Christopher Nolan's watchful eye and will be shown at the Coral Gables Art Cinema this Sunday. Award-winning director Christopher Nolan has collaborated extensively with the Warner Bros. crew to bring this picture to theaters in 2023.
