The Miami Dolphins have announced that applications are now open for the Nat Moore Scholarship and Grant Endowment Program. In its third year, this program has allowed students of Miami- Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties to pursue higher education.
The scholarship and Grant programs were intentionally created to bridge the educational gap that punishes those with a lower economic status. The distribution of these funds gives such students the opportunity to obtain the skills and training that will make them competitive for the job market. Had it not been for this scholarship, many of these recipients would not have attended a university, college, or vocational school.
All high school students that are expected to graduate by June in Miami- Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Monroe counties are encouraged to apply.
The Nat Moore Scholarship is an award of $10,000, which amounts to $2,400 per year in a four-year program. The eligibility requirements are as follows:

In just three years these scholarships have made a difference in the education of 14 students. The Nat Moore fund is a branch of the Nat Moore foundation that was initiated in 1998 with the goal of giving educational opportunities to the youth of South Florida. The Miami Dolphins Foundation through the Nat Moore Scholarship has committed to raising $10 million over the course of 10 years to help students with their educational endeavors. The hope is that these educated individuals will achieve their goals and give back to their community to aid others as well.
