Stephanie Childs, Diageo North America's executive vice president of corporate relations shares that through this alliance, they can act on their commitment to forming an equitable society. She conveys that they can address structural barriers by investing in universities with a similar motive.

Stephanie Childs also adds that she’s proud to take their program up a notch by supporting higher education and associating with a university with a similar commitment.

On the other hand, Miami Dade College’s president, Madeline Pumariega, states that she and the institution are incredibly grateful for this generosity. She further mentions that MDC will join hands with Diageo to create and expand educational opportunities for the youth.

She shares that they aim to bridge the gap between talent and the lack of opportunities for talented students that deserve it. This partnership also means more donations to support African American colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Moreover, Diageo has joined the Congressional HBCU Partnership Challenge as part of this program to support positive policies for higher education institutions.
