Miami's South Terminal Introduces Altitude Library

Passengers departing from Miami International Airport's South Terminal are in for a unique treat—Books with an Altitude Library. Nestled between gates H5 and H7, this literary haven allows travelers to exchange old books for new reads or pick up a free book.

Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel A. Regalado, Vice Chairwoman of the County’s Airport and Economic Development Committee, initiated this literary initiative that has gained momentum since its launch in December.

MIA's Book Exchange Takes Off

Since October, MIA's Books with an Altitude Library has been creating a buzz among travelers. Located in the post-security area of concourses H and J, this literary haven, stocked with a daily rotating collection of 100 books, has become a favorite spot for book enthusiasts.

Donations of all kinds are welcome, but the library prefers children's books. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava expressed her excitement, emphasizing how this initiative enhances the travel experience, reflecting the commitment of MIA to go the extra mile for residents and visitors.
