The exciting National Park and Recreation Month kicks off with July 4th Fireworks at Tropical Park

Celebrate July 4th with fireworks and an incredible public event happening this weekend

Miami Dade Parks is celebrating National Parks and Recreation Month 2022 with an incredible event happening at Tropical Park this weekend. The event will feature tons of fun and games and an incredible 4th of July fireworks display that is worth catching.

Here’s everything you need to know about this event:

When and where is the event taking place?

This year’s theme for the event is “We Rise Up for Parks and Recreation!” which is an attempt to highlight all the incredible work that parks and rec organizations are doing around the county.

The fireworks event will take place at Tropical Park, located at 7900 SW 40 Street, Miami, on Monday, July 4th, 2022. It’s going to be an incredible event that’s perfect for families and individuals, giving you tons to do.

The fireworks event starts at 4 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m., and the evening concludes with some spectacular fireworks displays that are worth checking out with your loved ones.

What else can you expect from this exciting fireworks event?

In addition to some yearly celebrations and attractions, this year’s event is a little extra special.

You can expect an incredible DJ set, live performances, demonstrations and sessions by Parks partners, and a lot of interactive activities and lawn games for kids to enjoy. Many vendors will be selling food such as hamburgers, hot dogs, and more Independence Day classics for the ultimate summer BBQ. The firework display is scheduled for 8:45 p.m.  

Another exciting detail is this year’s featured band, the Latin Grammy-nominated “SonLokos.” This Cuban dance band will be playing Latin classics like “Fundamento” and “Yo No Soy Mentiroso.” They’ll also be performing some of their originals from their Grammy-nominated albums.
