Little Havana’s Edukos has been feeling the impact of local construction. So much so that its new brunch menu is inspired by it. We stopped in to try out the menu — and support the restaurant, which tells us it has taken a major toll on the eatery.
For brunch, we tried out the vegetarian-friendly Breakfast Tacos. This delicious meal is filled with sofrito, scrambled eggs, black beans, and topped with cheese and guac. Pro tip: if you like to combine sweet and salty, add some plantains, too. Just as delicious was the Steak and Cheese Arepa which is stuffed with steak, fried eggs, and quasi blanco; the Waffles and Berries; and the Venezuelan Brunch — which is a delicious nod to the owner’s roots — comes with scrambled eggs, sofrito, queso blanco, black beans, and arepas.
And since it’s brunch it’s only appropriate to have a drink (or three). Edukos low abv cocktails are perfect for day drinks. We tried the Maria Luisa which is made with prosecco, rosemary, guava juice infused with thyme, and lemon bitters. The Sparkling Sangria is made with rose, berries, orange juice, lemon juice, and mango syrup; and the Summer Shandy brings beer and lemon juice together.

If you're into good food and supporting local businesses, this restaurant should definitely be your go-to on your next brunch outing.
Edukos is a tavern for the adventurous.
Edukos is a tribute to the home-cooking that only a mother can make paired with an obsession over all things fermented. It is located in the historic Little Havana.
The restaurant hopes to give its guests a welcoming place to discover new food and drink, all while experiencing good vibes. The bar serves artisanal Florida craft beers, champagne, and food that is inspired by Venezuelan and American culture. Everyone is invited to take a seat, get comfortable and try something new.
