A night of culture, connection, meaningful sponsorships and community
The Hispanic Heritage Celebration hosted by Calle Ocho News is a unique opportunity for individuals, families, and businesses to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Hispanic culture that is integral to Miami's identity. This event, as well as many, many, many community initiatives, would not be possible without the support of the Miami-Dade County Greater Convention and Visitors Bureau known as the GMCVB. Our Gold Sponsor, which is also our one and only ever named 2019 Community Champion, Commissioner Eileen Higgins. Our Silver sponsors are Hard Rock Hollywood and Care Resource followed by The Havana Collection, PortMiami, MIA, Florida Blue, Humana, CarePlus, and Mount Sinai Eldercare. Lastly, our evening segment liquor sponsors are Presidente, Ron Barcelo, and Ojala Wine.
Little Havana, one of Miami’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, is the perfect backdrop for this annual event. The festivities will take place at The Havana Collection, a venue known for its historical significance and cultural charm. Attendees will enjoy a day and evening filled with fellowship, arts and crafts, raffles, music, dance, and culinary delights, all while connecting with community members and celebrating shared heritage.

An evening of celebrating "Milestones"
This year marks the 5th annual celebration of our community’s milestones "Milestones", made possible by the incredible efforts of local artists and business owners thanks to our sponsors. Calle Ocho, a true symbol of Miami’s rich Hispanic culture, carries a deep history that continues to evolve with each passing year. By participating in this event, you become a part of that history in the making.
Calle Ocho is what it is today because of the people who have helped build and sustain it—whether they’ve been a part of this community for decades or have just arrived. What remains constant is that we are all "CONNECTED", contributing to the vibrant tapestry of our neighborhood.
In honor of this year’s celebration, we are proud to support the Hispanic Cultural Arts Center by donating a portion of the proceeds. We believe that partnerships like these are key to fostering growth and ensuring that the legacy of our community thrives for years to come.
