Chairman of the Miami-Dade Board of County Commission and other Mayors distributed relief aid among Hurricane Ian survivors
Hurricane Ian has affected the West Coast and Central Florida communities on a massive scale, leaving many without water, food, and shelter. On October 7, Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz drove to Fort Myers to distribute relief aid among Hurricane Ian survivors in Florida.

Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz is the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners’ Chairman and District 12’s Commissioner. This district includes the following cities: Doral, Medley, Hialeah Gardens, Sweetwater, Hialeah, and a considerable section of unincorporated Miami-Dade County.
Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz was first elected as commissioner and chosen for a fifth term in 2018. Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz was also the Board of County Commissioners’ Vice Chairman from 2009 to 2010.

Meanwhile, some officials, such as State Attorney Katherine Fernandez-Rundle, State Senator Ileana Garcia, and local Mayors, came together to help Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz collect and deliver things for relief aid for Hurricane Ian in Florida.
The authorities claim that at the moment, essentials like water, powdered milk, ready-to-eat meals, hygiene products, first aid kits, etc., are needed the most.
Chairman Jose “Pepe” Diaz has been taking initiatives to aid areas impacted by Hurricanes Dorian and Iota, plus other natural catastrophes. He collaborated with GEM earlier this year to provide help to Ukrainian refugees in Poland as well.
