Make the most of Black History Month in Miami by heading to some of the incredible exhibits and celebrations in honor of the occasion. Miami's vibrant culture has always celebrated different communities, and there are numerous public and private events happening around town to mark this special month.

Here are some of the most exciting exhibits that you can head to during February 2022:

All of Feb: Perez Art Museum Miami

The Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is hosting a series of events and various exhibits in honor of Black History Month, which allows you to check out fantastic works by some of the most talented individuals and creators of our time. From historical moments to more contemporary works, they have many events worth checking out.

February 12: Soul Vegan Festival

Take a look at all the buzz and events happening around this week.

When it comes to food, soul food is a league of its own, and on February 12, 2022, you can enjoy it with a new twist. The Soul Vegan Festival celeb rate s this cuisine with some of the most incredible vegan recipes and variations of some classic favorites, and we're salivating just thinking about it!

February 17: HistoryMakers: A Celebration of Maya Angelou's Life and Poetry

Honoring the life and work of the powerhouse that was Maya Angelou, this event has been organized by the DigitalArchives and will go into many fascinating details. Registration is required due to social distancing requirements at the Main Library, so be sure to check before you go!

February 19: Black Is Black Ain't

This event is named after a 1995 documentary by Marlon Riggs. It is a community exhibition featuring local artists, musicians, poets, and other talented individuals looking to celebrate and embody black excellence across all genres.

There's a lot more happening around, too, including the  25th Annual Melton Mustafa Jazz Festival: "Jazz on the Plaza" from Feb 25-27, 2022, various smaller events and exhibitions, and a lot of celebrations.
