This Thanksgiving fly with MIA Park and Ride and save 50 percent on parking

Miami International Airport set to open Park-and-Ride right before Thanksgiving

To make Thanksgiving travel more accessible and affordable, Miami International Airport is set to open its Park-and-Ride parking lot. This will be inaugurated on November 17. Travelers can use the new parking lot and save 50 percent on parking and catch a shuttle that's completely free of cost. This service is available for just $12 a day.

Park and Ride features

The brand new parking lot provides a monitored parking area with a free shuttle service to the Miami International Airport for just $12 a day compared to the $25 daily rate at MIA’s Flamingo and Dolphin garages.

This Park and Ride space lot is situated at N.W.45th Avenue. It’s accessible from both Perimeter Road and LeJeune Road.

Various payment methods are accepted as well, including Credit Cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

The busiest Thanksgiving travel week of all time

Passenger traffic has increased by 16 percent in comparison to the same time period back in 2019. Miami International Airport is all set to serve anywhere between 1.8 and 2 million passengers from November 18th to November 19th. This would make it the busiest Thanksgiving travel week of all time.

MIA officials are already expecting their parking garages to be brimming from November 17th after the record-breaking projection. Instead of just depending on parking at Flamingo and Dolphin garages, passengers can:

  • Park at the new Park and Ride lot
  • Opt for valet parking
  • Be dropped off by family or friends
  • Hire a taxi, call a ride-share service, or use the Orange Line.
