Revolutionary app connects Tri-Rail, Metrorail, Metrobus, Metromover, BCT, and Palm Tran into one seamless platform
In a groundbreaking move to improve mobility across county lines, the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), in partnership with Broward County Transit (BCT), Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), and Palm Tran, has launched SoFloGO — a new mobile app designed to make transit planning and fare payment easier than ever. Powered by Moovit’s advanced trip-planning technology and Genfare’s fare payment system, the app unites South Florida’s major transportation services under one digital roof.

One app, all of South Florida
SoFloGO brings together Tri-Rail, Metrorail, Metrobus, Metromover, Broward County Transit, and Palm Tran, offering riders a single tool for trip planning, real-time arrival updates, mobile ticketing, and service alerts. It also provides step-by-step navigation, deboarding alerts, and accessibility features like screen reader compatibility and step-free route planning — ensuring all riders can travel with ease.
This seamless integration means riders can now move between Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties without juggling multiple apps or payment systems. The result is a faster, more convenient, and more connected travel experience for South Florida’s growing population and its millions of visitors.
Meeting the region’s transit needs
With South Florida’s rapid growth, efficient and coordinated transportation options are more important than ever. Leaders from each agency hailed the launch of SoFloGO as a milestone for regional mobility:
“This app integrates all the services people need in one place, making regional travel more convenient than ever,” said David Dech, SFRTA Executive Director.
“For the first time, our riders have a single way to plan trips and pay fares across county lines,” added Coree Cuff Lonergan, CEO of BCT.
The app’s development was funded in part by the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization, further demonstrating the region’s commitment to a unified, user-friendly transit system.
SoFloGO is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.
