Unwrap the magic of the holiday season on the Flagler Street Holiday Village thanks to the Miami DDA
Miami DDA is embracing the holiday season with the launch of its annual Holiday Village on Flagler Street, transforming the bustling area into a vibrant winter wonderland. Running every weekend from November 16th to December 29th, the event invites locals and visitors to enjoy a unique mix of festive shopping, dazzling lights, and community activities.
A unique holiday experience in Miami
Located at 200 E Flagler St., this extraordinary seasonal event offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere. The event kicks off with a grand Opening Night on November 15th, featuring the lighting of a majestic Christmas tree and menorah. Guests will also enjoy live performances by the Miami Symphony Orchestra, setting the perfect tone for a season filled with joy and community spirit.
The village is home to over 60 local vendors offering a variety of handcrafted items, holiday decorations, artisanal goods, and unique treasures. Shoppers can find the perfect gifts for loved ones while embracing the vibrant energy of this festive marketplace. Complementing the shopping experience are captivating light displays and a delightful outdoor ice-skating rink, bringing the magic of winter to Miami. Families can look forward to Santa Claus appearances, creating photo opportunities and memories to cherish for years to come.
In addition to shopping and activities, the Holiday Village features food and drink options from nearby restaurants and Julia & Henry's bar areas, ensuring that every visitor's taste buds are satisfied. The festive market operates on Saturdays from 1-9 PM and Sundays from 1-7 PM, making it an accessible and enjoyable weekend outing for all. The event's organizers have gone to great lengths to create an inclusive and welcoming space that highlights the rich culture and vibrancy of Downtown Miami.
Miami DDA Building community through festive giving
Miami DDA Holiday Village extends its focus beyond festivities by fostering a spirit of giving and togetherness. From November 17th through December 8th, attendees are encouraged to contribute to a toy drive benefiting the Chapman Partnership. By dropping off new, unwrapped toys at the Olympia Theater entrance on Sundays, participants help spread holiday cheer to children in need.
Community-focused activities are abundant, especially on Sundays. Kids can enjoy bounce houses, face painting, and interactive games while adults shop and soak in the cheerful ambiance. Delicious food and drinks from local vendors, including offerings from Julia & Henry’s bar areas, complete the experience, ensuring something for everyone.
For vendors, the Miami DDA Holiday Village offers a prime opportunity to connect with Miami’s dynamic community. With a low participation fee of $150 per event and essential setup support provided, this event welcomes vendors with unique products to showcase their offerings to a lively and engaged audience. First-time participants are encouraged to review vendor guidelines and submit applications with samples or social media links to secure a spot.
The Miami DDA Holiday Village promises an unforgettable season of celebration, capped off with a special send-off on January 1st. Whether skating under the stars, shopping for unique gifts, or supporting the toy drive, visitors will leave with warm memories and festive cheer.
