As summer approaches, remember Year-Round Landscape Irrigation Restrictions are in effect for Miami-Dade County

MIAMI (June 13, 2016) — Although the rainy season has arrived and runs through October, the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) has mandatory water restrictions in place that apply countywide.  Irrigating on allowed watering days is crucial for water conservation and preserves this  precious resource.Residences and businesses with ODD-numbered street addresses (ending in 1,3,5,7,9) are permitted to water on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Residences and businesses with EVEN-numbered street addresses (ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8) are permitted to irrigate on Thursdays and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m.

Watering is not allowed between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Those that fail to comply can be issued a citation and are subject to fines.  To report a violation, please call 3-1-1.

New landscaping can be irrigated from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. every day except Fridays for the first 90 days after installation.

It is the priority of WASD to provide safe, reliable service to its customers. For more information on water conservation click here; for information on WASD services and programs click here.
