The Miami Children’s Museum is about to offer a heartwarming and educational experience that will captivate visitors of all ages
After over 40 years of inspiring creativity and learning, the Miami Children's Museum has announced a special collaboration with Peanuts Worldwide LLC to bring a one-of-a-kind, interactive traveling exhibit to Miami.
The exhibition, titled “Take Care with Peanuts,” will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Charles M. Schulz’s iconic Peanuts comic strip while offering an immersive, hands-on experience designed to foster creativity, empathy, and environmental consciousness. With a focus on important life lessons—such as self-care, kindness, and friendship—the exhibit promises to provide an enriching experience for children and families alike.
A meaningful learning experience
This milestone collaboration is a reflection of the Miami Children's Museum’s ongoing commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences. “Through this partnership, we’re offering children the opportunity to connect with the Peanuts characters in an entirely new way,” said Deborah Spiegelman, Executive Director of the Miami Children’s Museum. “The exhibit invites children to engage with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, and others while discovering the value of caring for one another, our environment, and themselves.”
The exhibit will run from February through August 2025 and will feature larger-than-life depictions of the beloved Peanuts characters. Each character will be showcased in their own section, where visitors can learn about their values and explore their personal stories. The engaging displays will combine elements from the original comic strips with interactive educational activities designed to inspire positive actions and thoughtful reflection.
Sustainability and community impact
In addition to celebrating the Peanuts universe’s rich history and characters, the exhibition will also focus on sustainability. With eco-friendly materials incorporated into the design, the exhibit will emphasize the importance of protecting the environment—a value that aligns with the themes of compassion and care found throughout the Peanuts franchise.
Peanuts Worldwide’s Craig Herman, Vice President of Global Brand Experiences, expressed his excitement about the exhibit’s ability to connect with young audiences. “Our goal with ‘Take Care with Peanuts’ is to reach the next generation, teaching them the importance of empathy, self-care, and caring for the planet,” Herman said. “These values have been at the core of Peanuts for 75 years, and it’s exciting to see them come to life in such a meaningful way.”
The Miami Children’s Museum’s dedication to inspiring positive change in children’s lives is reflected in the exhibit’s educational design. Through interactive play, children will be encouraged to think about how they can make a difference in their communities and the world around them.
This project would not have been possible without the generous support of local partners, including the Miami-Dade County Tourist Development Council and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, both of whom are committed to advancing educational initiatives that promote creativity and well-being in the community.
