Miami beach shooting leaves one man dead, two women injured

Yet another tragic Miami Beach shooting erupted on a beach in Miami. A man was shot and killed, and two women were injured early on Sunday morning at a nightclub in Miami Beach, according to police. Police have identified 37-year-old Lowell "Lo" Grissom Jr. as one of the victims. According to the police report, he was taken to the Ryder Trauma Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital, but he eventually succumbed to his wounds there.

About the victims of the Miami Beach shooting

Officials from Miami Beach Police said they got a 911 report of shots fired a little before 4 a.m. from inside GALA Miami, located at 235 23rd Street. A total of three people had what appeared to be gunshot wounds when police arrived. Two women and a man were taken from the scene of the incident to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where the man was pronounced dead.

Friends of the deceased identified him as Lowell Grissom, 37, an A&R executive for Chris Brown Entertainment and a rapper better known by the stage names "Lo" or "Everybody Knows Lo". Brown took to Instagram and paid tribute to Lo on Sunday night.

According to authorities, both women are expected to make full recoveries. One of the women was discharged from the hospital on Monday, and the other's condition remained stable. Their identities were not revealed.

Authorities are still investigating the incident

According to a statement released by the club, management is helping police with their investigation. There has been no word from police on whether or if any arrests have been made or what led up to the shooting. Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting, but Grissom's friends believe he was specifically targeted.
