In the second half of 2021, the World Taekwondo Demonstration Team made headlines by wowing audiences and judges, including Terry Crews, alike, on the popular NBC show America’s Got Talent. With impressive form, displays of strength, coordination, and discipline, the team made its debut and ended up in the Top 10 performers of S16, which is incredible!
But one person that truly stood out to us was Master Hyeri Shin, a South Florida local, who led the team of martial artists. As a 5th-degree black belt holder, she is one of the top 0.6% of Taekwondo practitioners globally to have that honor. Trained in Korean martial art from a young age, she has continued to build her career as an athlete at a global level.
As Hyeri Shin continues to train and build her place in this sport and discipline, we’re right here to celebrate her achievements and wins and watch her compete as a representative of our state and country.
