The Miami Hurricanes' confirmed new player Jaden Rashada has stated that negotiations are now concluded
New quarterback commit for the Miami Hurricanes, Jaden Rashada, first took to Twitter to deny claims and rumors that he is fully tied down to the team after accepting an unconfirmed NIL deal worth nearly $10 million.
Here's what we know about Jaden Rashada and this development so far:
Jaden Rashada decision now confirmed
Although the Miami Hurricanes were gunning for Rashada, the No. 7 ranked quarterback and the No. 45 overall recruit for the 2023 247 Sports Composite rankings, it is reported that Jaden Rashada left a hefty deal worth millions to play for the Hurricanes Florida Gators.
Rashada was meant to announce his college decision on June 18. However, it got pushed to Sunday the 19th as Jaden Rashada made his fifth and last official trip to Miami. It has been highly speculated, however, that Rashada has settled for a chance to be in Florida.
Negotiations were underway but now confirmed
While there is no official statement or confirmed conversation about Rashada's recruitment, there have been hints along the way. Miami’s very own John Ruiz had also hinted at what's to come on social media.
However, the NCAA has reiterated that it's against its rules for prospective recruits to be coerced or manipulated to pick a college based on prospective NIL deals. So far, it's confirmed by Rashada himself that no NIL deal affected his decision and contracts with the Miami Hurricanes.
The Miami Hurricanes and Rashada have signed a contract, and the team offers him a star position, decent compensation, and the opportunity to earn a degree at one of the most well-respected universities in the state.
We'll now you have heard it here that the Miami Hurricanes have added another excellent player to their team.
