Pause and learn what your toilet Bowl has to do with Super Bowl 2020

Super Bowl 2020 news that is the the funniest thing we  have heard so far

Did you know that Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) services about 2.3 million toilets that all flush at around the same time before the Super Bowl 2020 half time show and during? I mean if you think about it then it makes perfect sense.

You know how some of us sit in front of the TV during the Super Bowl to watch the game, but others like to watch it for the cool commercials that advertisers pay big bucks for? Whether you like the game or the commercials you are sure to go to the bathroom a bit before half time.  That’s where Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department comes into play which is why they will be watching a recorded game.

Something some people do not know about the big game day is that water pressure can drop by as much as 18-22 pounds per square inch right at the two-minute warning of the first half and continue throughout halftime, as well as right after the game when many people use the bathroom the most.

WASD staff’s primary job is to watch the water pressure and if pressures start to drop they will make a call to increase pressures and potentially add another pump to their system at each plant to compensate for the drop in pressure. Goes to show you that we are always all working for each other. Everything and everyone is connected and the smallest action can directly affect someone else many miles away. Thank you to the WASD staff and personnel for taking care of us so that we can all enjoy the game with the least possible amounts of toilet bowl mishaps.
