Wondering what you can do in Miami on a budget? You're not alone!
Despite how beautiful, fun, and diverse Miami is, it remains one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. and seeing as how it's an incredible tourist destination, you may be faced with costly hotels, restaurants, and prices everywhere you go.11
But it's pretty easy to get around Miami and have the most incredible time, even when you're on a budget. The best tip we can give you is to travel with a group and split costs or check out some of these budget-friendly hotels in town.
Here are some fun, budget-friendly, or even free activities to do while you're in town:
Plan a picnic at the beach
Do you know the best part about Miami being at the beach? You can head there for a day of fun in the sun for pretty cheap. Unless you go to a secluded beach or park, public beaches don't have admission fees and charges.
Save more by packing a picnic basket full of fresh fruits, snacks, and beverages (but be mindful of consuming alcohol there) and grab beach blankets and towels. You can shop for those at local stores or find rentals and have a nice relaxing day under the Miami sun.
Explore Wynwood Walls
Another free activity you can check out is exploring the beautiful open-air gallery known as Wynwood Walls. They also have a museum with a small entrance charge, but you can expect to have a great time for under $10 while you're here. Guided tours are a bit more expensive with a $15/person fee.
Walk around Little Havana
Little Havana is a delightful neighborhood located in the heart of Miami. Filled to the brim with life, culture, and art, it's home to not only some of the most delicious food but rich history too. You can stroll around for hours on end or even take a tour of Little Havana, enjoying some of the most delicious, authentic Cuban foods, the best cigars, and of course, world-famous soft-serve ice cream.

Downtown Miami is also alive and thriving, with some of the most beautiful sights and sounds. From stunning architecture to the best clubs, live music and entertainment, and plenty of free and cheap tourist attractions, an evening stroll through the electrifying streets downtown.
