Miami’s growing role on the world stage took center stage this week as the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Miami Host Committee hosted an exclusive “ONE GAME ONE PASSION” celebration at DAER Dayclub at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, bringing together athletes, celebrities, media personalities, community leaders, and international guests ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Held less than 30 days before the start of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the event highlighted the growing excitement building across Miami-Dade County and South Florida as Miami prepares to welcome the world as one of the tournament’s 16 host cities. The evening focused heavily on culture, community awareness, tourism, entertainment, and the long-term regional impact the tournament is expected to create throughout South Florida.
The celebration brought together local and international figures connected to soccer, entertainment, and the FIFA Fan Festival™ Miami experience, reinforcing Miami’s identity as one of the world’s most culturally diverse destinations.
Miami’s FIFA World Cup preparations continue gaining global attention
According to organizers, the “ONE GAME ONE PASSION” event was designed to celebrate the partnerships, collaboration, and multicultural energy helping shape Miami’s FIFA World Cup legacy.
“Miami is one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world, and the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is an opportunity to bring our communities together through the universal language of soccer,” said Rodney Barreto during the event.
The evening opened with remarks from Janelle Prieto, who emphasized the importance of community engagement, culture, and collaboration as Miami prepares for the international spotlight.
One of the evening’s major highlights included a special recognition honoring Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho for his role as a Miami Host Committee Ambassador. During the celebration, Ronaldinho was presented with the Keys to Broward County by Michael Udine in recognition of his global contributions to soccer and cultural influence worldwide.
Additional remarks were delivered by Alina T. Hudak and Randy Morton, while guests enjoyed media interviews, networking experiences, curated activations, and a live performance by Perro Negro.
The event also welcomed notable personalities including Cuba Gooding Jr., Carlos Ponce, Karina Banda, and members of Piso 21.
FIFA Fan Festival Miami expected to drive tourism and community engagement

As part of the citywide kickoff celebrations, Miami residents and visitors are invited to attend a free public watch party on June 11 in Miami Beach for the tournament’s opening match, followed by a surprise concert experience.
The FIFA Fan Festival™ Miami will officially take place from June 13 through July 5 at Bayfront Park and will be free and open to the public. Organizers say the 23-day experience will feature live match broadcasts, concerts, sponsor activations, food experiences, cultural programming, and entertainment throughout Downtown Miami.
