How she decided on the name Grain Of Sand by Aneth
Aneth calls herself a woman of faith and someone who has, for long, been a firm believer in the power of prayer.
As she was building her business, she hadn't found the right name for it, and despite suggestions, trial and error, nothing ever felt right. She asked God for a revelation for the name and heard the phrase 'grain of sand', but moved on, dismissing that.
It was only when she went to a couples' retreat, and the pastor read from Psalm 139, 17-18, and the phrase came up again. That was that.

“How precious are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you”
She later came to find out that a grain of sand is also a pearl, her favorite stone. It was like everything fell into place in the most serendipitous way!
The journey to get to Grain Of Sand by Aneth off the ground
But this wasn't a lifelong passion or vision for Aneth, who'd dabbled in other professions before.
Aneth was born in Ecuador and in her early twenties, moved to Venezuela, where she immersed herself in the fashion industry and discovered her interests in designing and creating. She moved back to Miami in the early 2000’s, and became a successful Realtor for over 10 years. It was only when her oldest daughter was moving away to college, that she decided to embark on this entrepreneurial fashion journey again.
Eight years ago, she secretly took money from her mortgage, bought supplies, and organized a jewelry event at her house. She invited 100 women she knew, taking a leap of faith, and the rest is history. Despite setbacks, she continued to learn, improve and work on branding and the art of merchandising, meeting some incredible mentors along the way.
In March 2020, right at the peak of the COVID pandemic, Aneth faced a huge challenge as stores worldwide closed down and multiple clients began cancelling wholesale orders. In a frantic, emotional conversation with her oldest daughter, Daniela, she was given the idea to switch her product style.
She went from designing her chunky, statement pieces, to creating dainty, everyday accessories that are so easy to associate with her brand almost two years in. Delicate, feminine, timeless, and very unique, these accessories are perfect for daily use and special occasions alike, featuring Aneth’s beloved pearls, dainty gemstones, intricate metalwork and chains.
Fast forward to a few months ago, to the Fall of 2021, when “Dani” short for Daniela, decided to join Grain Of Sand by Aneth as the head of social media and marketing. Months later, the brand has continued growing, thriving and gaining thousands of loyal clients who love the work and effort that goes into her creations. This is a small business that is worth supporting.
