Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience

Immerse yourself in Van Gogh

Through cutting-edge technology, Miami appreciates the artist's timeless reputation and artwork in “Beyond Van Gogh” at the Ice Palace Studios in Downtown Miami. World-renowned audiovisual designers use advanced projection technology to create an immersive experience duplicating what it would be like to live in Van Gogh's world.

Why Van Gogh?

Modern art has been powerfully influenced by the magnificent painter Vincent Van Gogh. This Dutch-born painter lived a short life immersed in poverty, self-mutilation, mental breakdown, and suicide. Regardless of his ten years of creative work as a painter (1880-1890), he only sold one piece of his art. Nevertheless, he is considered the most famous painter of all time.

Van Gogh became famous after his death at the age of 37 when he shot himself, unable to overcome his solitude and mental illness.

Nowadays, his paintings reach unparalleled prices through auctions. His masterpiece "Starry Night" is one of the most recognized pieces of art in the world, considered an international symbol of art that depicts the view outside his sanatorium room window. Starry Night is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City since 1941.
