Celebrate the holidays and the 100th birthday of the Vizcaya Museum
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens will host the annual Holiday Evening at Vizcaya. The event will feature an old-fashioned celebration honoring the inauguration of the grand estate, as well as Vizcaya's centennial. There will also be a commemoration of the founder James Deering, who came to Vizcaya on Christmas Day in 1916.
You will be able to experience a trip back in time and see the estate decorated for the holidays, as it would have been in the time of its founder James Deering. You can also enjoy the live music, hot chocolate, wreath-making, and the beauty of the illuminated estate as seen at night, a rare treat that's available to the public only a few times per year.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a National Historic Landmark that preserves the estate of agricultural industrialist James Deering, to engage our community and its visitors in learning through the arts, history and the environment.
The event will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2016; 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Guests must be on site by 8:00 p.m. to be admitted. Refunds for late arrivals not granted. Tickets are $20 for general public, $15 for members, and free for children under 5 years old. This is a ticketed event and tends to sell out each year, so guests are encouraged to buy their tickets online in advance.
