Culture comes alive at the American Indigenous Arts Celebration in Big Cypress

The annual festival offers free admission to guests, showcasing native American heritage through arts, music, and dance.

The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum on the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation in Florida is set to host the highly anticipated American Indigenous Arts Celebration (AIAC) on November 1-2. As a part of the Native American Heritage Month festivities, this annual cultural extravaganza will offer an immersive experience featuring Seminole and other Indigenous art, food, music, and performances.

This year's American Indigenous Arts Celebration comes with a special treat for attendees, as the Seminole Tribe of Florida will grant complimentary admission to both the museum and the festival grounds for the first time, with free parking available as well.

A celebration of art and culture

This year’s festival will showcase an impressive variety of attractions, from arts and crafts to thrilling live performances. Visitors will have the chance to explore Native American arts and crafts booths, taste authentic Tribal cuisine, and enjoy an array of entertainment that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Indigenous communities.

The Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum itself, which features over 5,000 square feet of gallery space, will be open for guests to view exhibits of rare artifacts and lifelike dioramas depicting the history and way of life of the Seminole people.

New museum exhibits will be unveiled during the American Indigenous Arts Celebration, adding to the educational experience for attendees. With this year's event taking place during Native American Heritage Month, the celebration aims to highlight the history, resilience, and diversity of Native American cultures through captivating displays and performances.
