La Cañita: A tribute to Latin-Caribbean cuisine

Born in Miami and recognized worldwide for her culinary innovation, Michelle Bernstein will take Abiaka's guests on a journey of intense flavors and deep cultural roots.

The menu designed for the occasion includes emblematic dishes such as:

  • Oxtail stew with trofie pasta, roasted tomatoes, mascarpone and parmesan.
  • Shrimp mofongo with red chimichurri, ripe and green plantains, yuca, and shrimp broth.
  • Whole Yellow Snapper with guasacaca and coconut rice.

The desserts highlight the chef's tradition and creativity, with offerings such as Flan de la Flaca and Baked Alaska with dulce de leche and passion fruit.

Additionally, guests at Abiaka can enjoy a menu of signature cocktails, including the refreshing Mojito Criollo, the bold Disco Inferno, and the tropical Domino Old Fashioned, inspired by the flavors of the islands.

Abiaka: a concept of fire and tradition

Located on the second floor of the Guitar Hotel Pool Vista Pavilion, Abiaka is known for its wood-fired Latin grill, which combines the flavors of the Caribbean, Spain, and Latin America with fresh Florida ingredients.

In addition to the La Cañita menu, the restaurant offers some of its specialties, such as lamb chops al pastor, halibut with Veracruz sauce, and creamed corn esquites. Its culinary offering, led by Executive Chef Robert Ciborowski, seeks to highlight the tradition of open fire cooking and Latin hospitality in a sophisticated and modern setting.

With live music, high-end cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere, this pop-up promises to become one of the season's most notable culinary events in South Florida.
