No appointment, no problem!
Now that Jackson Health System allows people to get their Covid vaccinations without an appointment at three of their sites. People ages 16 and older will be eligible to get vaccinated.
Their three centers to get the vaccine are:
- Christine E.. Lynn Rehabilitation Center, 1611 NW 12th Ave., Miami Lynn Rehabilitation Center.
- North Dade Health Center, 16555 NW 25th Ave., Miami Gardens, Jackson
- Jackson South Medical Center, 9333 SW 152nd St., Kendall
This is great news to all Floridians, as it was previously quite difficult to schedule an appointment. Not just Jackson Health System but other locations throughout South Florida also dropped the appointment requirements. These include all state-run sites in Broward County and the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
It is exciting that as of Monday’s vaccine reports, over five million Floridians already got their two doses of Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna or the single dose of Johnson & Jhonson. This shows that Florida is on the path to eradicating the Covid-19 pandemic. With so many places no longer asking for appointments, more people will have access to getting the vaccine as well.
If looking to get vaccinated at one of the Jackson Health locations, be sure to get there before 2:45 pm. Those that previously had an appointment to get vaccinated after the 2:45 pm slots will receive an email or text with instructions to reschedule at an earlier time.
