MDC’s Tower Theater Miami is back with three movies for you to watch
This November, MDC’s Tower Theater Miami in Little Havana will reopen its doors to patrons who are ready to get back into the world of cinema. Tower Theater Miami has always been more than a movie theater. It has always been about community and bringing together diverse people to enjoy the arts.
This is exactly what the Tower Theater Miami will do in November, following many improved policies and procedures that make the theater a clean and safe place for moviegoers. Tower Theater Miami is able to do this because of the immense support provided by patrons during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now more than ever, the Tower Theater Miami are able to fulfill their mission and connect art with audiences, like they did in years past with movie premieres and the Miami Film Festival. In 1800s England, acclaimed but unrecognized fossil hunter Mary Anning (Kate Winslet) works alone on the rugged Southern coastline. With the days of her famed discoveries behind her, she now searches for common fossils to sell to tourists to support herself and her ailing mother. When a wealthy visitor entrusts Mary with the care of his wife Charlotte Murchison (Saoirse Ronan), she cannot afford to turn his offer down.

During a series of adrenaline-fueled one-night gigs, punk-metal drummer Ruben (Riz Ahmed) begins to experience severe hearing loss. When a specialist tells him that it’s only a matter of time until his condition rapidly worsens, Ruben fears that his life is over. With the support of his bandmate and girlfriend Lou (Olivia Cooke), he checks into a secluded sober house for the deaf in hopes it will help him learn to adapt to his new situation.
