Healthcare for post 9-11 veterans suffering from burn pit injuries

As a veteran himself, Chairman Pepe Diaz remains passionately committed to improving the lives of other veterans too. This resolution aims to provide extensive healthcare coverage and assistance to post 9-11 veterans, especially those who've suffered from burn pits. However, the legislation also includes those who've suffered from conditions related to toxic exposure, encouraging more research and engagement with the subject.

Pushing for the development of a smartphone app to track human trafficking

Lastly, he has pushed for the development of a smartphone app that helps authorities process and respond to complaints and cases of human trafficking. The app allows people to submit anonymous complaints, images, and videos of potential victims, which are overwhelmingly female. The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office estimates that 96% of the minor victims and 92% of the adult victims of human trafficking are female. This is an important first step in trying to prevent and control the issue at hand .
