Wynwood Walls new timed and ticketed system

If you’re planning a visit to the Wynwood Walls, here is what they have changed since the COVID-19 pandemic began

Since closing the venue in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wynwood Walls has now reopened. Things will look a little different due to the new measures put in place. Still, everyone has the opportunity to visit the heart of the Wynwood Arts District.

The Walls reopened back in December. The reopening was in partnership with the Wynwood Business Improvement District. They have implemented a new system to ensure the safety of everyone’s experiences. Beyond mask requirements, there is now a timed and ticketed system, with an entry fee required.

Jessica Goldman Srebnick, curator of the Walls, explained the need for the new system.

“We will continue to welcome guests to the Wynwood Walls but have implemented these changes because we take the safety, security, and health of our team members, artists and guests very seriously,” said Srebnick.

Visitors can buy tickets for selected time slots via the brand new Wynwood Walls app. The app also features interactive guided tours, new programming, and special announcements.

Before the pandemic, The Walls began to feature new artwork. The iconic collection already featured 50 original murals by well-known and appreciated artists. Some of the new artists include Buff Monster, Don Kitchner, and Dasic Fernandez.

Now that The Walls have reopened, the Wynwood Walls Shop and GGA Gallery are welcoming guests. This gives you the opportunity to take home a piece of The Walls. There are gifts, books, prints, and more available for sale. All items were inspired by artists like Ron English, Queen Andrea, and Tristan Eaton.

As a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of The Walls, the shop is also selling a recently published book. The name of the book is Walls of Change: The Story of Wynwood Walls. Anyone can buy the book.

The Wynwood Walls are located at 222 NW 26th Street in Miami. On Sunday-Thursday, they are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, they are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
