Taking place during the Miami Arts and Heritage Month, the South Beach Jazz Festival goes on from 7-9 January 2022 and is one of the most highly-anticipated events in Miami.
It’s a particularly special festival for the local community since it highlights the incredible achievements and talent that musicians with unique abilities possess. It’s a way for them to use music to showcase and celebrate the “abilities of musicians with disabilities,” partnering up with different businesses, sponsors, and organizations to make it happen.
We’re incredibly excited to see this festival return for its sixth run, and here’s what you should know:
Where does the South Beach Jazz Festival take place?
The incredible thing about this festival is that it takes place across various venues and locations, not just one. Some of their locations include Faena Theater, Jazz for Tomorrow Stage, North Beach Bandshell, and a couple of others. You can decide which venue works best for you or aligns with the performances you want to check out and plan your visit accordingly.
Who’s performing at the festival?
The festival features some of the most incredible performers and artists in the world of jazz, kicking off festivities with two-time Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Latin Grammy award winner Aymee Nuviola at the Faena Theater. The festival’s headliners at the Grammy Award-winning group The Blind Boys of Alabama and other incredible artists and performers.
The lineup features artists with different abilities and allows them a chance to wow audiences with their incredible skill and talent, all the while paying homage to one of the most powerful genres of music. Jazz has and always will be a revolutionary art form and one that has provided a rhythm and voice to the voiceless. It’s incredible to see these artists come together during the festival through mediums of dance, music, song, and performance, giving audiences a chance to appreciate it for everything it’s worth.
Where can I get tickets to the event?
It’s definitely worth a visit, and if you’re wondering where you can purchase tickets, we’ve here to help. Tickets are available for different performances, but there are also multi-event passes, and you can purchase them through the festival’s official website or other trusted sources. Get your hands on them before seats and passes run out--because they will!
