A vision of growth and accessibility

From his childhood in Brazil until he became a cultural figure in Miami, the art of Britto has always been based on joy, accessibility, and inclusivity. His latest stores, one at Dolphin Mall and another in Orlando, bring his work closer to audiences from around the world.

“Art should be for everyone,” Britto shared during his conversation with Calle Ocho News. “It makes me happy that people can find my art in a place that feels close to them.”

With additional locations in New Jersey and plans for further expansion led by his CEO, Lucas, Britto’s goal is to make art a shared experience rather than an exclusive one. Each store offers collectors and first-time buyers the chance to own a piece of his signature style, from prints and sculptures to original works.

Inside the artist’s Miami headquarters

At the heart of Britto’s global brand is his 60,000-square-foot studio in Miami’s Little River neighborhood, which serves as both his U.S. headquarters and creative hub. The studio hums with energy; music fills the air as artists, assistants, and designers collaborate to bring his colorful visions to life.

“I’m blown away every day that I get to create in a space like this,” Britto said. “It’s full of creativity, laughter, and ideas.”

While the studio currently welcomes only special guests, collectors, and media, Britto dreams of expanding public access. His long-term vision includes a new space with galleries, a restaurant, and event areas that invite people to experience the joy of art firsthand.

“I want people to see where art comes to life,” he explained. “That connection between the artist and the community is everything.”

His Miami studio symbolizes his personal success as well as his commitment to the city that has supported him for more than three decades. From Miami Beach to Little Havana, his influence can be felt across South Florida’s cultural landscape.

The story behind ‘Britto Doc’

Published on August 29, Britto Doc is a film that captures the story of a man who turned misfortune into hope and imagination. The movie, which was shot by a team based in Los Angeles, is an inside story of the life of Britto, including his humble background in Recife, Brazil, and how he became one of the most well-known artists in the world.

The documentary features appearances from friends and supporters, including Marc Anthony, Andrea Bocelli, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Martha Stewart, and Dolce & Gabbana, who share their reflections on his work and legacy.

“It was emotional to revisit my past,” Britto admitted. “But it reminded me of how far art can take you when you lead with gratitude and joy.”

The hour-and-a-half film also sheds light on Britto’s philosophy of positivity and perseverance. Although he knows the world equally, he still operates on the principle that genius is best when it is selfless. It is a love letter to a universal language of happiness that characterizes his artistic work and is not just a career retrospective.

A tradition of color and society

The story of Britto is full of perseverance, philanthropy, and purpose. And beyond his business achievements, he continues to participate in much of the charity work and is a very active figure in the cultural arena of Miami. This has been portrayed in his artwork, which consists of murals, sculptures, and global works, which formed his ongoing mission of bringing hope to the world through art.

“I believe in happiness as a universal language,” Britto said. “That’s what my art is all about.”

In Miami, his impact extends beyond galleries and exhibitions. His murals brighten city streets, his collaborations raise awareness for social causes, and his energy continues to inspire a new generation of artists and entrepreneurs.
