The Department of Transportation and Public Works will hold an opening ceremony for the roadway improvements on the NE Second Avenue, from NE 69th Street to 84th Street, this path being the last phase from the overall construction project on the NE Second Avenue corridor.
The project was funded by the People’s Transportation Plan (PTP) and by Water Renewal and Replacement Fund (WASD R&R) and it’s total cost was $10.3 millions.
The ceremony will be attended by The Honorable Carlos A. Gimenez, Miami-Dade County Mayor, The Honorable Audrey M. Edmonson, Miami-Dade County Commissioner, District 3, The Honorable Anna E. Ward, Ph.D., Chair of the Citizens' Independent Transportation Trust and by Manuel Garcia, Assistant Director of Construction and Maintenance, Department of Transportation and Public Works.
