The luxury residential buildings in Miami are changing for the better. With fast-paced, tech-driven lives everywhere, the upscale condos are offering residents an opportunity to disconnect from the digital buzz with tech-free amenities.
Developers are tuning into the growing desire for spaces where people can unplug and focus on well-being.
Mercedes-Benz Places in Brickell
Set to redefine urban living, Mercedes-Benz Places is a twin 67-story development in Brickell, expected to be completed by 2028. Michael Stern, CEO of JDS Development, emphasizes the project's commitment to tranquility, stating, "Tranquility in a city center is so hard to find." The development will feature amenities that engage the senses without relying on technology, including a Japanese onsen ritual bathing circuit, meditative cabanas, a Himalayan salt room, and an aromatherapy room.
At ground level, Southside Park will offer the largest green space in Brickell, complete with tree canopies, native vegetation, walking paths, and courts for padel and basketball.
Four Seasons Residences in Coconut Grove
Anticipated to open in 2027, the Four Seasons Private Residences in Coconut Grove marks the brand's first all-residential project in Florida. Situated amidst parks and waterfronts, the development will feature 70 homes ranging from two to four bedrooms, with units starting at $6 million.
The project features Caesar baths reminiscent of ancient Rome, designed to provide an immersive, tech-free experience.
Sage Intracoastal in Fort Lauderdale
Just north of Miami, the Sage Intracoastal is a 44-unit condominium slated for completion in 2027. The entire fifth floor will serve as a tech-free zone, prohibiting even phones to create a space dedicated to relaxation and calm.
Additional features include a yoga lawn facing the ocean and expansive terraces with outdoor living areas and kitchens.

The Perigon on Miami Beach
Another luxury project for 2027 is The Perigon, which offers units ranging from $5.5 to $37 million. The development also enforces a no-phone policy in its restaurant, pool, and cabanas to promote a serene environment.
Philip Freedman, the building's director of sales, describes it as "a respite for our buyers from their busy lives."
Amenities include a dining room overseen by Michelin-starred chef Shaun Hergatt, a private beach club, and gardens designed by the landscape architect responsible for the green space around the Eiffel Tower.
Cipriani Residences on Biscayne Bay
Set to premiere in 2028 with 397 units priced between $1.8 and $30 million, the Cipriani Residences aim to promote personal interactions.
The project includes a library, a private restaurant, and a speakeasy on the 37th floor exclusively for owners.
Rivage in Bal Harbour
Rivage is another project to keep an eye on. Due in 2028, it offers oceanfront condos set back from the water to accommodate Zen and yoga gardens at the building's entrance. Yansy Checa of Douglas Elliman highlights the project's intent: "The idea is to meditate in nature and completely unplug."
The development aims to provide a country club vibe, encouraging residents to disconnect from technology and engage with their surroundings.
Ombelle in Fort Lauderdale
Breaking ground this year with delivery expected in 2027, Ombelle features a Zen garden and cubbies designed to lock away cell phones, promoting a tech-free environment. Drawing from his Orthodox Jewish background, Isaac Schlesinger, a partner at Dependable Equities, wants to encourage the naturalness of turning off technology to rest, a practice observed every Sabbath.
