As Miami Dade College celebrates its 40th Annual Miami Film Festival, the National LGBTQ Task Force plans Winter Party Festival
Miami is all about windswept beaches, cultural diversity, delectable cuisine, and fun-filled festivals. The preparation for the two main festivals is almost completed as we approach March. The Miami Film Festival will celebrate its 40th anniversary to showcase more than a hundred films from various countries.
At the same time, the LGBTQ Task Force of Miami is also all set to dance and bring the community together with its Winter Party Festival. More about these two festivals in the news below.
Miami Film Festival 2023 to screen in-theaters and online films
Since its 1st edition in 1984, Miami Film Festival has successfully screened a wide array of films in greater parts of Miami. Before Miami Dade College (MDC), the Florida International University managed this festival’s administration for a brief period of time.
MDC has successfully held the reins of the Miami Film Festival to guide it to expansion and growth. The festival begins on the first Friday of March and runs for ten concurrent days.
Miami Film Festival has gained wider recognition for its discoveries as well as given out over one million dollar cash awards to emerging and established filmmakers.
Since this year’s festival will mark the 40th anniversary of the Miami Film Festival, the audience can explore over 140 films from over 30 countries. The festival will run from 03rd – 12th March. Both members and the public can grab their tickets by clicking here.
The festival will screen in-theater films in Silverspot Cinema, the Bill Costford Cinema, and Coral Gables Art Cinema, whereas online screening is available on Apple TV, Roku, and Android TV.

Winter Party Festival – a celebration of community, music, and dance
The National LGBTQ Task Force invites everyone to join them on their 30th Winter Party Festival – a week-long celebration intended to raise funds for the LGBTQ community.
The festival will take place from 1st March to 7th March in Miami Beach to promote its motto, “Live free. Play hard. Give back.”
This festival is a platform for everyone, including the LGBTQ community, to recharge and unwind. Winter Party is the place where everyone can break free from the hustle culture and busy lives.
With its week-long events featuring music, international DJ talent, entertainment, and dance parties, the festival allows the LGBTQ community and its allies to bask under the sun.
But fun isn’t the only goal of this party. The organizers aim to give back to the community with the help of the Miami Foundation. Buy tickets now!
