Emilio Estefan to receive LiS Pionero Award at exclusive rooftop gathering
Miami is gearing up for the excitement of Formula 1 weekend, where the city will also host a celebration of Latino excellence in sports, media, and business.
On Friday, May 2, 2025, LiS: Latinos in SportsTM will take place at Coconut Grove’s Level 6 Rooftop. The two-hour invitation-only event, which will highlight the accomplishments and contributions of Latinos across a range of industries, will start at 4:30 PM.
Honoring a cultural icon
The highlight of the Latinos in SportsTM evening will be a presentation of the LiS Pionero Award to Emilio Estefan. Estefan is best known for his Grammy-winning music career. He is also a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins.
Due to Estefan’s influence in the entertainment and sports sector, he has become a cultural icon in the Latino community. But more than that, the recognition of his efforts will set the stage for increasing Latino representation across different industries.
