Stock food for seniors by United HomeCare and FPL

FPL and United HomeCare distributed 2,460 hurricane kits to over 820 seniors in Miami-Dade. This was an attempt to provide assistance to those who won’t be able to receive home-delivered meals during storm season or leave their homes post-storm.

These vital supplies included three daily meals, water, snacks and nutritious food for senior citizens. The event took place at two venues. First, Patterson Pavilion Senior Housing at 10 am. The second one took place at La Esperanza Senior Housing at 11:30 am.

The volunteers at United HomeCare and FPL helped distributed the meals to seniors by either delivering meals to their homes or them coming to pick up kits on-site.
