Experience the debut of the World of Nutcracker in Doral this holiday season

Downtown Doral announces an immersive celebration of the beloved holiday classic

This December, Downtown Doral will transport visitors from the warm Florida climate into the enchanting world of The Nutcracker with the launch of the World of Nutcracker experience. Tickets are now available for this innovative, immersive holiday adventure that invites audiences to engage with the beloved story like never before.

A unique holiday adventure

Spanning approximately 45 minutes, this unique experience combines live performances, stunning animation projections, and an array of sweet treats, allowing guests to witness key moments from The Nutcracker. Participants will journey through memorable scenes, from Marie’s whimsical dream to the thrilling clash between the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King. Guests will have the opportunity to meet the mysterious Drosselmeier, the grand toymaker, and visit The Nutcracker Emporium—a festive market filled with desserts and delightful surprises. This intimate experience is designed for just 25 guests every 15 minutes, ensuring that every attendee feels a personal connection to the story while avoiding large crowds.

Tickets for this multi-day holiday event the World of Nutcracker are now on sale, with prices starting at $35 for adults and $18 for children for general admission. VIP tickets, priced at $60 for adults and $35 for children, provide additional perks such as customizable nutcracker decorations, expedited photos with Santa, and promotional discounts at Downtown Doral’s restaurants. The event will run from November 30, 2024, to January 3, 2025, operating Tuesdays through Sundays from 5 PM to 9:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to secure their preferred time slots, although day-of tickets will be available through a kiosk at Downtown Doral Pocket Park.

A collaborative creation of art and magic

The World of Nutcracker is the first of its kind in the United States and is a product of collaboration between the Downtown Doral Arts and Culture Foundation and a team of renowned theatrical designers from Broadway. This includes Brett Smock, the Producing Artistic Director at The REV Theatre Company, along with experts in scenic design, lighting, video, sound, and prop creation. Ana-Marie Codina Barlick, CEO of Codina Partners, expressed her excitement, stating that the event perfectly blends holiday magic with the rich artistic culture of Miami. “We aim to create art-inspired, interactive, and family-friendly experiences, allowing visitors and residents to forge cherished memories,” she said.

At the end of this captivating journey through the World of Nutcracker, guests will enter Drosselmeier’s Workshop, where attendees of all ages can create and personalize their very own Nutcracker miniatures. In addition to crafting opportunities, visitors can enjoy delicious hot cocoa, various refreshments, and photo opportunities with Santa Claus. Holiday-themed food and drink specials are planned with local restaurants throughout the duration of the event, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
